The Versa Light Scent-Releasing Fishing Lures, by the VersaLures Corporation, glow, have adjustable weights and floats, release scent, change size and have the ability to mix colors from one lure to the other by switching parts from one to the other for a multi colored lure. 

The Versa Light Scent-Releasing Fishing Lures are the world's only fishing lure that are adjustable in size, color and weight. Other features include a scent chamber for inserting scented fish attractant and a glow stick chamber that illuminates the lure in murky water or in deeper depths. It makes it ideal for getting the large fish at deeper depth where the sunlight does not penetrate well or for night fishing where the regulations permit it.

The Versa Light Scent-Releasing Fishing Lures are intended for anglers / fishermen. There is a good markup, too (contact the inventor below for more details). 

Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price:

• A package of 8 lures is $39.95 = about $5.00 for each lure, which is the cost of your average fishing lure that does not have these abilities.
• A package of 4 lures is $24.95
• A package of 2 lures is $14.95
• A single lure is $8.95

Each lure comes with 5 light sticks and 25 scented bait balls, 1 float ball and 1 tungsten weight. Competing lures  (which do not glow, release scent, change size, have adjustable Weights or floats or have the ability to mix colors from one lure to the other by switching parts from one to the other for a multi colored lure) retail for your average fishing lure is $4.00 to $6.00 each. Most competing $4.00 lures do not have adjustable weights that allow the lure to be used as a top water lure or deep trolling lure by changing from a float ball to a tungsten weight and no other lure in the world can do what these lure do.

The connection on the lures were tested and shown to hold over 75 pounds of dead weight without any disconnects of the lure parts, this model was designed for fish between 1-35 Lbs but could catch much larger fish if a larger hooks and swivel were added.

VersaLures Inc. Has a larger lure model which was designed for fish weighing over 50 lbs. and will be available after the launch of their Versa Light Lure model.

The Versa Light Lure is best suited for direct response TV campaign, in the late 1990s a company selling a product called the Banjo Minnow sold through a DRTV campaign reported gross sales from the DRTV campaign of 90 million dollars, The Banjo Minnow was a soft rubber lure that had no features or abilities like those of the Versa Light Lure, estimated gross sales from a successfully launched DRTV campaign 100 million + which does not include retail sales revenue that investors would also share in.

• A licensing deal, in which the licensee would have exclusive rights and their company logo on the packages.
• A buy out in which a well established company buys the rights to the Versa Light Lure product and patent.
