Big Idea Group: Seeking innovative concepts that could become the basis for a profitable microbusiness. The winning inventor (or inventors) will receive not only a royalty on products sold, but also an equity stake in the new business that we form to launch the invention. More than one idea might be selected, and inventors can submit multiple concepts. There’s no entry fee, and BIG will take responsibility for developing and launching the invention with their own funds. Deadline is March 31, 2010. These are some of their recent product hunts:

Skil New Product Search: Skil is seeking products that help do-it-yourselfers achieve project success in and around the house. For this search, Skil is interested in product innovations that solve a problem or address an unmet need. Skil will consider submissions for portable electronic power tools, bench top tools or even non-powered tools. Innovations should be geared toward mass market retail rather than niche, and DIY rather than industrial or commercial application or use. Applications for product submissions should encompass at least one of the following:

Cutting
Drilling
Fastening
Finishing
Work support (e.g. tape measures, saw horses and so forth)
